Good morning, Bob- I just wanted to follow up after our training session Saturday, in reference to Enzo. He has done so phenomenally this weekend—we are amazed! We walked two miles at Forest Park last night (the rain made it impossible Saturday night or Sunday morning) and, initially, he would rear up against his collar and cry and carry on, but he finally fell into line. The big test was when an older couple stopped to see the boxers (we had the other dogs along also) and, after being corrected, he sat quietly while they talked to us and fawned over the other dogs. He was shaking, but he sat quietly.
This morning, Bryan walked both boys by himself and they did fantastic. The biggest miracle happened this morning: we had a new employee start and, as he was being introduced to everyone, Bryan opened his office door with the new employee and Enzo just looked p and kept chewing his bone. We were all flabbergasted—and THRILLED. -Sheila R. |
Please call Bob Laut, tell him Michelle Heller who has 9 rescue dogs referred you. He is reasonable… Bob’s number is 314-660-5316. Thank you. -Michelle H. |
I have personally had Bob help me in my own home with my 3 dogs, as well as assist me with a few dogs that are with a rescue that I volunteer for. I can personally tell you, that my experience was a great one. My 2 females used to fight constantly and often it would create a bloody mess, not to mention the high vet bills from having to require treatment. Since Bob was in my home, my females have not fought, not one single time. Also, I could not walk all 3 of my dogs at the same time as a pack because it was too much with them pulling and tangling each other, but now, I can walk the 3 of them together with no issues.
He has also assisted with the rescue group for which I volunteer for in keeping an adopted dog in the adoptive home as well as assisted with dogs that had issues in their foster homes. -Craigslist posting |
Hello Everyone, If you have multiple dogs with issues, fear, anxiety, jumping, barking or aggression problems, Bob is the MAN FOR YOU! Today was my first consultation and session with Bob and I swear he is a miracle worker. I had dogs that would not potty or go outside together, had food issues, and aggression due to fear. I have two aggressive dogs that are not red zone dogs, but could turn that way if given the chance—he had both out walking together on a leash. He calmed my other dogs that would hit if you didn’t pet them. I also had the ‘I-am-hyper-skiddish-of-men’ fear dog, the Pit who thinks she owns the entire house (including everything in it), and last but not least, the little dogs: doxies and a beagle.
The doxies are sisters and fight over anything, he has calmed them all. I now have the two aggressive dogs on my bed one at a time with no issues and actually licking each other. Before I could not even take one outside with out the other one going off to I-hate-you-and-I-want-to-kick-your-ass mode. This man is expert and very reasonable for pricing. When you see him you will know he is a MAGIC MAN! We found out that I am a lot of the problem from the energy I am projecting to the dogs of anxiety and fear. “Oh my god what if they fight again”, “oh shit one is growling”, “I can’t take this one for a walk or outside, it’s going to be World War 3”. The dogs do pick up on how you feel before you even start. This man is better than Cesar a.k.a. Dog Whisperer.
Please if your life is a living hell and you fear leaving the house thinking what did they tear up or is there a fight when I am gone, rest assured he can and will help you and your K9 friend. I am in for a long road ahead but it is worth every penny. Bob’s number is 314-660-5316. If he can help me and my pack he can help anyone! It is worth it! THANK YOU BOB! YOU ARE THE BEST! -Michelle |
I’d hire Bob in a St. Louis second. As for K9 rescue, kudos on the great work you do! -Craigslist posting |
As an avid animal lover and a person who is involved in rescue, I have certainly had my fair share of less than ideal experiences with dogs—both foster and my own. In face, recently, the tension in my home between my two female dogs had spurred some bloody fights and it seemed that no matter what I did, it was not a permanent solution.
Over the past several months, I had been in contact with many trainers who wanted ungodly amounts of money and I had to bring my dogs to them which was just not an option for me. I came across Bob’s ad and was very interested in how he worked and what he had to say. I have had him out to my home in mine and my dogs’ environment twice now and I am very impressed. My girls used to fight once or twice a week and they have not fought once in almost 4 weeks now.
Bob’s method is not just about training your dog, but also training the owner and the other members of the household. My dogs have made a drastic improvement in just a short amount of time and I too have more knowledge, which has allowed me to improve how I handle less than ideal situations should one occur. The things that Bob has taught me and the message that gets to my dogs been a wake up call to what I was doing right, what I was doing wrong and what I needed to add to the things I was already doing but could not do them better and without the frustration. Bob is very knowledgeable and a great person to work with. I would highly recommend his services. He is also much more reasonable than any of the others I have contacted.
Please call BOB or any behavior issues you are having with your dog(s). He is absolutely wonderful and I’m glad that I responded to his ad.

"Bob, This is Susan Garvey. We have an appointment with you on Saturday. I have a question. I talked to my husband last night about you coming and he is SO STUBBORN. He doesn’t believe in training. He keeps saying that Boozer is PAST the point where he can get help and we will just be wasting more money and our situation will remain the same. I know you made a comment about us reading the testimonials so you would come in and we would “believe” you. However, my husband doesn’t “believe” they can be fixed."
I used Bob, the K9 Pack Leader Trainer! He was excellent. His number is 314.660.5316.
I have 2 dogs. One is a male American Bulldog that is four years old. The other is a female American Bulldog that is two years old. They had fought about three times in the past. Honestly, it was pretty bad. My male almost got my females jugular, so my female could have died. I was actually on craigslist looking to sell my female when I found Bob’s ad. I decided to call him. He was AMAZING!!! He is VERY REASONABLE. I looked into training at other places for my dogs and it was VERY EXPENSIVE. BOB IS VERY AFFORDABLE!! I called Bob to come over for a visit. Within the first visit, my dogs walked loosely on a leash TOGETHER. In addition, within less than one week, I have them both trained to know the word “Home” and go to their separate beds. They will stay in their beds until I release them. The most important thing is that he showed ME how to be the DOMINANT pack leader, so now my dogs DON’T FIGHT!!! It is great!! I would definitely recommend him. He has done wonders for me and my family.
Again, his number is 314.660.5316. He can really help you. If he can help me and my dogs, then he can help anyone!@ -Susan G. |
I would highly recommend Bob. I have three dogs, two of which are dominant females. I had been working with them but I was still seeing unacceptable behavior from them and was becoming frustrated, as well as had a genuine concern that one or both of them may hurt the other. I saw Bob’s ad on CL and I decided to call him out for a consultation.
I was very impressed how my dogs behaved with just a few corrections from him and chose to hire him. I can honestly say that I don’t think that there has been a time when I have been happier and my dogs too. We have had 2 visits with Bob and my dogs are showing great progress. Granted, they are still a work in progress and I work with them every day in order to be consistent. They are walking much better on a leash, they are not as anxious, and overall, they are listening better.
If you have a problem dog, Bob with Pack Leader K9 Rehab/Training is a great answer and he’s affordable too! Compared to every where else I have looked, Bob beats the price wars by a long shot. Give him a try, I did and it was well worth it. I am looking forward to his visit again this weekend to continue my training as well as the training of my dogs. -Craigslist posting |

Many thanks to Pack Leader for showing me how to restore a peaceful environment in my home! My two dogs had some trouble with an abundance of nervous energy. Thanks to Bob, now when the doorbell rings, my dogs no longer go nuts. I’m now able to take them for walks on a daily basis without them pulling me the whole way. And feeding time is no longer a free-for-all. His techniques, while highly effective, can be easily applied.
Pack Leader’s rates are very reasonable and Bob even comes to you, which is important because he can really see how the dogs act in their natural environment. The personal touch of an in-home visit is what sets Bob apart from everyone else. If your dog shows any unwanted behavior, big or small, Pack Leader is your answer!

I am so grateful to Bob for helping me with my small dog (that was biting) and 5 month old puppy (large breed). First of all, he demonstrated that my dogs will positively respond to training and then he showed me what I needed to do to continue the training. I have already recommended him to family & friends who were curious when I told them I had the "St. Louis Dog Whisperer" help me. Thank you, Bob!

Success #1 For me, things changed when the event ended. Later that day I entered the kitchen and I was by myself. For the first time the dogs were not barking at each other but at me and I was alone. At first it didn't bother me but one dog continued to bark and that's when I realized it was directed at me and it sounded different - hard to describe. Initially I felt afraid but I stayed calm and did not back down or away. He continued to bark but much less. There was a pause in the barking and I took that opportunity to leave because I needed to head back down the hill. The same dog and others followed me out and the barking started up again. There was a point when I thought "I could really get bit." Luckily as soon as I thought that I realized that I needed to change my thinking or I probably would get bit. I started my visualization and the dog no longer moved forward. Eventually he went back up the hill. At first I was disappointed that the situation happened at all but then when I looked back and thought about the moment where I went from feeling like the "pack leader simply walking down the hill" to "prey running away and a bite was imminent" and I was able to turn the situation around I started to see it all as a success.
I do have a question though - is there ever a time when you don't want to make eye contact and stand your ground or move forward? Does that behavior ever provoke a dog?
Success #2 So the rest of the walk went great. Fritz was very cooperative. He didn't move ahead or sideways or back. He did try to sniff a lot which I corrected and a few times he wanted to run after a butterfly in the meadow. I tried the riffing with him - walking forward, turn, correction, walking forward, turn, correction ... he responded really well to that. I started to teach him to sit. He waited about 20 seconds on leash, at the bank of the creek, before I rewarded him with some off leash time in the water. On the way back I was able to hold the leash in two fingers without any tension and we were in the zone the whole way... and not a sound out of the dogs at the top of the hill on our way back.
Success #3 taking it home.
It was really hard to not be affectionate with my own dog when I picked him up tonight but I wanted to carry the lesson home - that was the main reason for attending. So I did things totally differently: First, I went home and changed clothes and rested for about 20 minutes before picking him up so I wasn't tired and right off the 8 hour road trip. Second I just took the leash from the Petsmart person, adjusted the collar and started walking - no affection. We walked around the parking lot for 20 minutes before heading home. When I got home we went through some commands and then I gave him the job of lying down while I unpacked my suitcase. I used a few treats but he stayed the whole time. Then a bit of fetch, then some couch time. Now he's crashed on his bed while I type this. It wasn't easy giving him what he needs instead of what I need but I really wanted to feel the same type of success at home as I did at the Grove.
Sorry for such a long email, I just wanted to share and celebrate a very good day as a pack leader. Also, I am in touch with a local organization and I plan to foster a big dog soon. I am confident that I can handle the responsibility after this weekend and today.

Working with Bob is an eye-opening experience. He understands animal behavior from the perspective of the animal.
Bob's work goes beyond a simple set of rules. He can teach you how your behaviors and habits are affecting your dog. When you understand how your dog thinks, you have the power to communicate with your dog.
Bob's techniques are completely flexible and can be effective for any breed and any lifestyle. - Dr. Kathleen Engelmann

I was so excited for Bob to come work with my three dogs, and after only 3 sessions I can say that my dogs have completely changed. My two larger dogs now walk amazing on a lead. My 10 year old niece couldn't control my Pit Bull on a walk, and now she can walk her without a problem.
My Pit Bull also had some serious food aggression issues towards other dogs, and during his first visit he had my Pit Bull laying next to a bowl of food without trying to inhale it. She and my Shepherd can now eat in the same room together (under supervision of course), and we haven't had a single fight in nearly 3 weeks.
My Chihuahua now sleeps in a crate next to my bed as opposed to on it, and she's slowly starting to warm up to new people coming into the house, but we're still working on the clinginess (both mine and hers).
I would definitely recommend Bob to anyone who had dog issues. He may not be for everyone, but if you keep your mind open he can help both you and your dogs tremendously.

Bob came to my house yesterday for the first time. To begin, his prices are VERY affordable, especially compared to other trainers that are willing to come to you home. My family has been breeding for 22+ years so I have a lot of experience in training. About a year ago I added another Newfoundland to my family. I did all of her obedience training as a young pup, but now that shes a year old she seems to want to be the Alpha dog in the house. Even though she has been crate trained she began whining and thrashing around in her crate, learned to get out of the crate, jumped the fence, jumped on strangers, etc. She was obedient most of the time but very rarely submissive.
Bob worked with my dogs for about an hour. I would say it took maybe 2 minutes to see a difference. Koda, the 1 year old jumped on Bob twice and stopped. She went over laid down and just stared at Bob. It was as though the Mighty Alpha Dog had walked into the yard. All 3 of my Newfoundlands just stared in "awe" at Bob. Bob's way of training is the most effective I have seen. He is training not only the dogs but the owner to think more like the dog to help with training. He puts things into perspective to help you understand why some training methods work better than others.
It has been 24 hours since my training session with Bob and my dog is practically a whole nother dog. Every morning at 430, she wakes me up crying, not because she needs to go to the bathroom but because she wants out to play. Needless to say i got to sleep until 10 am today without a single sound! So far she has not whined or thrashed around in the crate, even while 2 people stood in the room talking. She has finally started being submissive, really learning the snap method to sit, lay down and show submission.
I had a few friends/family members over lastnight and they could not believe how different Koda was. she did not try to jump on them AND was actually calm.
It's unbelievable that 1 hour with Bob can do THIS much change. I have already told a few people about Bob and would highly suggest him to anyone. Words cannot express how thankful I am to have tried Bob as a trainer. He is good and knows what he is doing.
If you are still having doubts about Bob, then let me try to convince you by saying if he had a book or DVD, I would send one home with every puppy I sell. His training costs less than most petstore classes and takes place in your home, sessions are custom to your dogs behavioral needs. Not so much a general session.
I cannot wait for the next training session!

I have an American Staffordshire Terrier a.k.a. Pitbull. His name is Samson. He is one of the greatest dogs I have ever owned, and is great with my 5 year old daughter. The problem that I had was I have a beautiful, loving dog that happens to be a 95lb., massive pitbull that society does not accept. So needless to say I have always been afraid to socialize him with other dogs. One, If another dog did step up to him with dominance, and was unbalanced, Samson would be labeled aggressive and punished. Two, I wasn't sure how he would react around the other dogs, and again he's powerfull so I'm sure you can imagine my concern.
I contacted Bob to see if he could help me overcome my fears, so Samson could have a happy and socialized life. Samson and I met with Bob, and he explained to me how crucial it is to stay in control. If I'm in control Samson does't feel the need to take over that role. The test of fate was set, it was my turn to take the reins. Bob had brought out the first dog to test the reaction from both parties, well three parties including myself. At first there was hesitation on my part which made Samson take the reins.
Bob quickly explaind what I was doing wrong, and made me realize, it's my control. I learned quickly and the dogs were both sniffing each other. This was like magic, eventually they were playing. Then Bob wanted to introduce him to more dogs. I was still a little hesitant, but agreed to do it. With self control and guidance the introduction went great. Before I knew it Samson had four new friends. I was so over joyed and Samson was happy playing like a dog should.
Bob is a wonderful person and teacher. He has alot of knowledge to offer, but it is up to us as responsible dog owners to follow through. We can all be pack leaders with the correct tools. I would recommend him to everyone who is serious about having a balanced pack. Bob is also my father and a great advisor. He calls it like he see's it, and I believe that's what makes him so great at what he does. By the way you can see Samson and my daughter on the site pics. She's the little one on holding on to the four dogs. If a five year old can do it anyone can. Samson is the big black and white beauty in front laying around with his new friends. PUNISH THE OWNER NOT THE BREED. Thanks for listening.

Bob Laut knows the behaviors of dogs. Our pup was 9 weeks old and very fiesty. Bob taught me to be calm assertive and it works great. The pup is now 12 weeks old and walk without a leash and stay with us. He is obeying commands and doing some tricks already. I am very greatful for Bob helping us make our pet into a great dog! Call Bob for your problems with your pets and they will soon be gone if you follow through with his advice!

When Bob came to help us with the difficult animals in our no-kill shelter, the first thing that impressed me was the way he approached us PEOPLE in the same calm, quiet and peaceful way that he approached the dogs. Furthermore, he was able to STAY "centered" even when things got crazy, either with us humans getting anxious or the dogs acting out (including fighting). Truly, he walks the walk, not just talks the talk! Secondly, his techniques really work... beginning immediately! Before we started our classes, I had HOPE that he would help us save these animals' lives, but after going through his training sessions, I now have FAITH that we can rehabilitate these dogs and find them great homes. Bob, you were a God-send!

Bob, Thank you so much for ALL your help. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Our dogs are becoming the companions that anyone would love to take in to their home as a Fur-ever member of their family. We walk into the yard and it is basically silent. No more fighting them to get into the pens to feed and water, no more jumping up onto us or the fences. Both Jordan and I are working (given the time) with the dogs. God has surely blessed you with a gift and I am so happy to say we are so fortunate to be on the receiving end of it. Thank you does not say enough. - Kayee Thompson and all of the rest at...FARMINGTON PET ADOPTION CENTER |

We are a no-kill shelter in Farmington Missouri that is struggling to rehabilitate some of our canine residents who have been deemed "unadoptable." Bob gave us invaluable tools we can use every day to help give these 4 legged souls a real chance at getting adopted into their own forever homes. He was a calm and generous source of information and inspiration we will never forget. The knowledge he gave us was easy for us to incorporate into our daily routines with the dogs at the shelter. We saw results immediately, and will be calling upon Bob often in the future to help us with MANY more success stories

I am a veterinarian with nine dogs. My wife and I enjoy rescuing animals when we can. However, by doing so, we are not always guaranteed the most well-mannered pets in the world. Our house was chaotic and loud all the time. Although I love each and every one of our pets, I simply felt outnumbered and pressured by them.
Bob helped us to reestablish our dominance over our dogs in a kind, friendly manner. Our pets are behaving like I've always wanted them to, but never understood how to achieve. We are able to live our own lives in peace and still love our dogs at the same time.
I cannot recommend Bob highly enough...he has given us the tools to handle our pack with authority and kindness at the same time. I would encourage anyone with dogs to give him a call.

Bob has visited with my pet once and has already made an extreme difference. My dog Bo is a male mix, English Shepherd/Lab and has fear aggression with other animals. We have had a couple bloody battles and the last one resulted in my other pet having to leave our home. My goal is to have my pet and family rehabilitated so we can all be joined back together. We have had several other trainers but nothing has worked until we called Bob. I am happy to report that Bo and I have been walking again. It has been very rewarding to see him out in public behaving balanced and peaceful. I am a realist, I know as many of you do that dogs with behavior challenges will forever need to be managed. If you have an animal that needs rehabilitation, call Bob first you will be glad you did.

I thought Bo was impossible to fix...Until I met Bob. He is a true hard worker that will go out of his way to rehabilitate your dog and your family. He not only teaches your pet, but also you and your household. Bo is a Lab/English Setter mix, and we recently had to seperate our dogs due to Bo being aggressive to other dogs. It is a horrible thing to have them seperated, but now since Bob taught us how to be alpha, we can rehabilitate our family and our dogs. Choose Bob first! He is the best!

Bob, has been a true friend to our family. He has given the best part of our puppy to us. Meatball our puppy is a joy to be around and the personal time that Bob has given to our family is beyond his call of duty. My daughter was so shy around her puppy but, now is more confident in everything she does. I recommend K-9 Pack Leader to anyone who is getting a puppy.

We have a Shiba Inu (which looks like a fox). We adopted him back in October 2010 and never not having a puppy before,I spoiled Newt rotten and now he barks (which his breed is not suppose to bark.) he wants to bite everyones ancle, does not listen to any commands....
I looked up dog training in the search engine and Bob Lauts name was the first name that came up..I called left a message and told him I had a spoiled rotten puppy that would not listen, he came over 3 days later.... Bob walks in my house and my puppy decides to act up like always and before Bob could get all the way in Newt was trying to take control.. Bob had Newt obeying him within 2 steps ...we could never open our door without Newt trying to get and and run away. Bob had the door wide open and Newt standing and trying to get out but Bob not letting him. That was last Monday and Bob will be here Tuesday with more home work and more amazing ways to Newts better living....
I was totally shocked that Newt listen to Bob and now he even listens to me....
Much Thanks to Bob for making our home a home again..

Bob Laut is simply amazing! It's hard to put into words how good he is at what he does. From the first visit, my Siberian Husky puppy, Yuki, was instantly transfixed by Bob's authoritative presence. The "Alpha" mentality radiated throughout the room and within the next hour, Yuki quickly recognized her place in our "pack."
Now my boyfriend, Donovan, has a fun and easy time teaching her plenty of new tricks within just a couple hours from her amazing new focus. (Mind you, Yuki is four months old now and her training has only gotten easier since she first started with Bob at about 12 weeks old!) It only took two visits, once inside our home to explain the mentality of dogs and their need to have someone with a dominant role in their pack, and a second to conquer the ever difficult "walking on a leash without dragging me down the sidewalk."
I was impressed by Bob's professionalism, attentiveness, and kindness from the first ten minutes of meeting him. He seemed to have the answer for any question I could imagine (and believe me, there were plenty!). I think the moment I knew Bob was a truly exceptional trainer was when he noticed my initial unease at having Yuki on a pinch collar. Especially when she fought against it for the first time. Her yelps were painful for a dog "mommy" (I'm sure many of you can relate!), but Bob quickly recognized my distress and made sure I was comfortable, as well, even though his only concern could easily be Yuki.
I would (and do) recommend Bob's training to absolutely anyone with a canine companion. Whether it's simple tricks and obedience or more intense training, Bob knows what he's doing and is very up front and honest about the role the owner plays in the overall effectiveness of the training. We took it very seriously because our puppy means a lot to us, and her obedience is vital in keeping her safe and appeasing the neighbors.
Thanks so much for all the help! We could never do this on our own!
And here is a fun youtube video to show Yuki's success at training! We have more from the first day of Bob's training, but I'll have to wait until the computer wiz (Donovan) gets home from a weekend trip :)

I wanted to Thank You for coming to our house last night and helping me with Ruby. I was defiantly a little nervous when you first came in and she reacted but then I sensed your calm energy and that helped me calm down. When we went for a walk I was little more calm, watching you work with Ruby was amazing. Then I got a little nervous when you asked me to walk her but I put on my calm shoes and walked her confidently. You helped us save Ruby and for that I am truly thankful. When we got Ruby I had always wanted to be a dog trainer but the way she was with me I gave that up. Working with you and remaining calm as motivated me to become a dog trainer again. So for that a big THANK YOU. You are the best dog trainer ever. If there ever is an opportunity to work with you in training other dogs I would love that.

Bob has worked wonders with our pack. Before Bob, it was almost impossible to take my two dogs for a walk. It just took a few simple sessions and our dogs walk great on their leashes. He also gave us the tools to take control of our pack. Thanks Bob!

My dog Riley was been deemed as unruly, obnoxious, and dominating. It was hard for me to have people over at my house. It was even harder for me to take her for walks. As soon as Bob walked into my house my dog started to behave herself. In the span of two sessions I have had acquaintances tell me that she is a different dog. Thanks to Bob I have a totally well behaved dog who is able to interact with other dogs. I would recommend Bob in a heartbeat. Also, I can't thank him enough for getting me and Riley on the right track.

I have worked with and trained many dogs. Most of my dogs have been rescue from the streets of Homestead, FL., also kennel raids of pups being kept in wire cages in a shed in South FL.. But Hercules I adopted him from a rescue group in MO. After hearing about his story online, this 8 week old puppy was deaf and blind from birth and was now being thought of as a throw away. It pulled on my hearts strings so I adopted him and brought him home. I just wanted to help and get his story out there. I made lots of calls to trainers and most all either no idea and were unsure how to help. I researched and tried to find training tips that work with this full of energy little dog who is now 3 years old. I knew he had some unhealthy behaviors like making these circles and running them over and over, which had made it hard to walk him. Or when I put a lead on him he would not move and fought it. Until Bob came into the picture we hung up on the simplest of things. Walking on a lead. Sounds so simple but yet it was a wall I was having trouble over come. Here I have this little dog that loves people and a story I want to share and I can even walk him.
Thanks to Bob his patience and knowledge we are now about to walk around the block and/or take him places like a pet stores.. it sounds so small but it Opens up his whole world. With that wall down now we are on to taking the next steps, one day I would like to be able to go and take Hercules out to share his story. One day I hope to make him a therapy dog.
Thank you so much Bob!!
By the way Hercules has started using his nose on our walks:)

Bob is easily the best dog trainer everything. My dogs pulled at their leashes, barked uncontrollably when anyone passed my house and my puppy wasn't housebroken, chewed everything, was destructive and needy and within minutes he trained me what to do to correct these issues and it's just the next day and still going strong! So affordable and he even travelled to Illinois! Thank you so much Bob!

Thank you Bob! We have a male and female pitbull, female border collie and a newborn baby. Bob was a miracle worker in helping us establish limitations and control in our house. Bob helped us gain back the role of pack leader which our male pit had taken the role of. Everytime my husband walked out the front door he would try to bite him or anything that was in his hands. After just one visit with Bob we no longer had him biting us as we were leaving and our dogs were walking on a leash right next to us instead of pullling us down the street! Since our dogs are older (4&5 years old) we thought that there was no way they could be changed but Bob proved us wrong! Our house is now peaceful and we are in control. We can't thank Bob enough for helping us. If you are having troubles with your animals let Bob come over just one time, his prices are very reasonable and his training is successful!

I had a friend who said if I would become the "Alpha Dog," in the house I would solve two problems (the dog and my 6 year old's behavior). Bob trained me to become "Alpha Dog," and it sure is a lot more fun than chasing a dog and daughter. Seriously, I attended two other training sites and no one gave me the confidence and insight that Bob provided. As one of those people who likes to "understand" why I'm doing something, Bob explained everything and it made sense! Bob understands dogs AND understands people-a formidable combination. Sadie, my two year old mix was always sweet but she is obedient now too. My six year old said she really liked Bob so everyone is happy. I can't recommend him enough! Thanks Bob

Bob Laut is the best!! I have three dogs and two foster dogs so needless to say my house is a "mad house". After one session with Bob my group was becoming more of a "pack" and I felt more as the leader than the "woman with no rules". The change that has taken place in my home is AMAZING and something I never knew was possible. Thank you Bob Laut for your experience and knowledge of Dogs, and your patience with us "humans". Thank you Bob!

I met Bob a year ago at the STL Pet Expo. His approach with the public and demonstrations with his dogs was impressive. I am a volunteer with K9 Rescue & Rehab. Early this year our EDNA (Every Dog Needs a Stay) Puppies for Parole program was kicked off. This identified the need for someone to “train the trainers” at the Potosi facility. Bob came to my mind immediately.
After discussing the objective of all dogs participating in the program K9 Rescue & Rehab excepted them to learn basic commands, house training, walking on a leash, crate training and socialization skills. They are tested and expected to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizenship test. While this is quite an accomplishment for a dog that was destined for euthanasia, this is an even bigger challenge with the “trainers” who are the “offenders” in a maximum security prison.
To meet the requirements of the Missouri Puppies for Parole program and the goals set forth by K9 Rescue & Rehab, the biggest challenge was someone who could motivate, teach, train and develop the ability of the offenders to become dog trainers.
The most amazing fact is that Bob walked into a maximum security prison, addressed 24 offenders, many who had not even seen a dog in over 30 years, and taught them to train dogs to meet our goals. These are gentlemen that have been incarcerated for years in a maximum security system. They are selected by the Potosi Correctional Center management to be a part of this program and they were and are definitely dedicated to it. However the most basic of human interaction with dogs has been removed from their lives for many years. At best these men had a dog in their previous public lives but none were trained as trainers.
We are only in our 3rd cycle and today the offenders in our program are truly “K9 Trainers” due to Bob’s leadership, example, teaching and motivational skills. We ask these men to do things that people often are not willing to do themselves with their own dogs. To meet the standards set for the dog to perform on command for anyone is a high mark to hit.
I had the privilege to work with Bob bi-weekly as he reported the status of the progress of the program for each dog and the handlers as a pack. After our first conversations I could tell the progress was faster than I personally expected. When I went to see the second cycle of dogs myself, I was impressed. While the dogs looked and performed well, the “offenders” were becoming true trainers.
The statement has been made many times that the dog needs direction and the human needs trained. Bob showed this to be very true. It is often easier to do things yourself than teach others, however Bob has proven he can teach and lead the trainers.
We are now in our 3rd Cycle of dogs in the EDNAS program and Bob is providing the growth of experience and skills to the Potosi K9 Trainers for this program. Bob has been a critical success factor in the program to date and in the development of the EDNAS K9 Trainers and for its growth.
Thank you Bob Laut! Keep the great work up helping us - help the EDNAS Trainers - save more dogs!

Bob, You made me a believer in my Lucy on our first session. Now you've done the impossible and made a believer in my husband. He saw and experienced walking Lucy without losing an arm. He saw her interact with other dogs without attacking them. You have given us hope, but better than that is you have given us the tools to help our Lucy. If there is ever anyone needing help with their dog I will surely recommend you. You are truly "St. Louis' Dog Whisperer" Thank you!

I have 2 dogs and have had 2 sessions with Bob, which is all we needed. Bob doesn't really train the dogs, he trains YOU how to control their behavior. I now feel confident I can control my dogs in situations where I previously struggled to do so. Bob was a great help to our household and I would recommend a consultation with him if your dog(s) have any type of behavioral problems you wish to learn how to correct. Both of my dogs display undesireable dog reactivity when encountering other dogs, and this was something I thought I would never be able to get under control, but thanks to Bob I know how to take my dogs on outings and keep them in check. Thank you Bob!

We were considering putting our dog down for aggressive behavior until Bob visited our home, just one visit made a huge difference. We were able to walk our dog easily on a leash, and gain control of our home again. It was the best money we ever spent. Our only regret is that we didn't call him sooner.

Bob is amazing not only with our animals but with us as well. We had good dogs with some bad habits; what we learned was we had good dogs that accepted our bad habits. Our dogs are relaxed, happy, healthy and excited to be a part of our pack now. They no longer excessively bark at dogs or people walking past the house. They no longer jump in fear at having their feet touched or at everyone who enters the house, they walk with confidence at our side rather than nervously dragging us along their walks, they play nice with one another without fighting for the alpha position and lounge in certainty that they are secure in their pack. Spending just a couple of hours with Bob showed us the path we wanted to be on to create our happy animal family. We are appreciative and thankful that Bob taught us how to lead our pack to harmony.

Bob did a fantastic job helping me get started with they puppy I adopted through Stray Rescue. I have always had dogs around, but had never started with a puppy and was very concerned I would not be able to train her properly or much less keep her under control. Bob helped me a great deal in understanding what my dog was thinking and how to correct her behavior. With his help, I have been able to give my dog a happier life because she knows her boundaries and lives with less stress and anxiety. I can't recommend Bob enough. - Nathan Hopper |

Bob has been a great help in helping introduce our latest foster dog into our pack and also with our cat. His calm presence makes me feel more confident when dealing with my dogs, one who has a little bit of dog aggression. My biggest fear was turning them loose in the backyard where I felt like I may not be able to stop a fight if one broke out. Bob's confidence is contagious, and he helped me realize my potential in becoming the leader that my dogs need. Things are going very smooth with the foster, and the foster is doing great with the cat as well! He also gave us a lot of tips in working with our dogs as well. He has such a great understanding of our canine friends!

Bob literally saved the life of a very agressive stray that I picked up. She was attacking me and my other dogs and I feared for their saftey and my own. I have never given up on an animal before, but I was ready to give up on her when Bob was referred to me by Randy Grim of Stray Rescue. I was stunned to watch the dog immediately submit to Bob. After a few hours of training with me she became a member of the pack with me as the leader. Bob is right, there is no such thing as a bad dog, owners need to educate themselves rather than blaming the dog. Thank you Bob for bringing peace into my home! Namaste!

We have 4 small dogs. Dutch, the only male, urinates on all of our furniture. He has been doing this for 10 years and I was ready to have him euthanized. Bob was able to teach my wife and I how to think like a pack leader and help him understand urinating in the house would not be tolerated. It's been a week now and Dutch has not urinated 1 time in our home since our first session. Bob solved other smaller issues with the 3 females. I really can't believe it. What he taught us makes sense. -David and Debby |
Bob was Absolutely fantastic with my dog Kyle, and Myself. Kyle is a one year old lab/Sheppard mix with anxiety issues. Kyle would snip at my roommate or friends when they would come into my room or try to get close to me. I immediately called Bob to come over and help me with these issues. Bob taught me that I have to set boundaries and be Kyle’s Pack leader. As soon as I exhibited those behaviors Kyle was able to relax and put his faith in me to judge certain situations. It has only been a short time since our appointment but Kyle and I already feel a lot less anxious and he is behaving WONDERFULLY! -Caitlin |
Bob visited me & my pup, Honey, earlier today... I gotta give him serious props for the calm, assertive energy he brought in to our home! I needed some hands-on guidance on how to keep the packleader mentality a part of our every activity. My ultimate goal is to have my Honey a part of a Therapy Pet Team- helping sick children & the elderly smile :) I want to fine-tune her training & have her in a calm submissive state on walks, at dogparks, joining my friends at the sidewalk cafe, etc. Bob gave me so much confidence in what I've done with her so far & I'm looking forward to our trip to PetsSmart next week (a place I fear visiting with her but wish I could). I have no doubt I'll be able to control her in every situation :) THANK YOU BOB! -Robyn V. |

We have a dog that we wanted to give to Stray Rescue that has food aggression issues. We were told that they would not take him because he is not a stray, but was referred to K9 Pack Leader by someone in the Vet dept. After our first lesson with Bob, my wife and I learned some specific things to help us right away. We're continuing to work with Bob in hoping to fix the issues. Our walks with the dog have improved greatly too!

Bob was referred to me by Diana's Grove Dog Rescue, his guidence is great! He gave me the skills I need to improve my dog Franklin's behavior and just as importantly, if not more, the skills to improve my behavior to get my dog back on track. What I thought was an impossible task became very manageable with Bob's simple an effective approach. I'd highly recommend Bob to anyone who's dog has behavioral/aggression issues or for obedience training. Thanks Bob! -Bill Z |
